TV Producer Glen Larson created both Battlestar Galactica and Knight Rider – two of my childhood favorite shows. Both feature a menacing red light constantly swishing side-to-side to symbolize machine consciousness.
In August 2014 I built Evil Mad Scientist Laborites’ kit version, which uses a microcontroller. In December I made a version using a 4017 decade counter and 555 timer on a home-etched circuit board.
