Project #2 in Dhananjay Gadre’s book is a flickering candle using SMD components. An ATtiny13 generates a pseudo-random number and adjusts the intensity of a 1-watt LED, mounted to a smaller PCB right above the main one. I melted hot glue on the LED to resumable a candle wick and then shaped some polymorph (aka ShapeLock) into a white tube around it.
