A Color Organ is a classic electronics project – making different colored LEDs light up in response to different frequencies of music. I designed and etched this circuit three times before getting it working perfectly. The first version was with through-hole components is based on ledartist’s Triple Deluxe II Intstructable and was done March 12, 2013.
A couple years later on August 15, 2015 I made a version that was all SMD components, but that didn’t work at all. Finally, on May 11, 2016 I made a version that used a mix of through-hole and SMD components, which still works great. (Note the photos are from seven years later, so the copper has oxidized and faded a bit.)
